CONSENT AGENDA

  1. Discontinue the MA-Kinesiology degree, Department of Kinesiology, School of Education. This degree is inactive and has not been used in many years. There will be no change to the very active MS-Kinesiology program, which will not be discontinued. This action is effective Summer 2015. This action is conditional upon approval at the March 13, 2015, Graduate Faculty Executive Committee (GFEC) meeting. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.02
  2. Rename the Center for the Study of Politics to the Elections Research Center, Department of Political Science, College of Letters & Science. The renaming is effective immediately, or as soon as it can reasonably be implemented. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.03
  3. Move the Course Subject Listing “Molecular Biology” (650) from the Wisconsin Institute for Science Education and Community Engagement (WISCIENCE) (formerly the Institute for Biology Education) to the Department of Zoology in the College of Letters & Science. The move will be effective Fall 2015. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.04
  4. Move the Course Subject Listing Pharmacology (724) from the now discontinued Department of Pharmacology to the recently approved Center for Training in Pharmacology and Drug Development. The move will be effective for Fall 2015. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.05
  5. Close the Aquaculture Program, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The proposed closure will be effective immediately, or as soon as it can reasonably be implemented. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.06
  6. Close the Institute for Enzyme Research, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The proposed closure will be effective immediately, or as soon as it can reasonably be implemented. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.07
  7. Discontinue the CALS Undergraduate International Certificate, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Admissions to the certificate were formally suspended in Spring 2014. Two students remain in the certificate. Both expect to graduate in May 2015. This action is to be effective Fall 2015. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.08
  8. Move the Course Subject Listing “Biology” (205) from Wisconsin Institute for Science Education and Community Engagement (WISCIENCE) to the Department of Zoology in the College of Letters & Science. The move will be effective Fall 2015. UAPC Doc 2015.03.12.09
  9. Discontinue the named option: Energy Systems in the Master of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering. Three students are currently enrolled in the option. All three are expected to graduate in Spring 2015. This action is effective Summer 2015. Action on this proposal is conditional upon approval at the March 13, 2015 GFEC meeting.
