  3. WITHDRAWN – Suspend admissions and discontinue the named option Architectural History associated with the PhD Art History, Department of Art History, College of Letters and Science. This action is conditional upon approval at the February 10, 2017, Graduate Faculty Executive Committee (GFEC) meeting. UAPC Doc 2017.02.16.03
    1. Suspend admissions to the named option Architectural History. Fall 2017 will be the last term that new students can be enrolled in the program. This action is effective Fall 2018.
    2. Discontinue the named option Architectural History. Summer 2021 will be the last term that students can be enrolled in the formal named option or that the formal named option would be awarded with the degree. This action is effective Fall 2021.
  4. Establish two named options in the MS Environmental Conservation. Reviews for programs in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies are up to date or are progressing. These actions are conditional upon approval at the February 10, 2017, Graduate Faculty Executive Committee (GFEC) meeting. Both actions are conditional upon receiving MOUs from the Department of Statistics and from English/ESL for students in these programs. The options will be effective for Summer 2018.

  6. Suspend admissions to the undergraduate major in Asian Studies, Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS), College of Letters and Science. Reviews of programs in IRIS are up to date or in progress. This action is effective Fall 2018. Summer 2018 will be the last semester students will be admitted to the major.   7. Rename the undergraduate Certificate in LGBT Studies to LGBTQ+ Studies, Department of Gender and Women’s Studies, College of Letters and Science.   8. Suspend admissions to two majors in the Department of History of Science, College of Letters and Science. Summer 2017 will be the last semester students may declare the majors. Addition will not be allowed starting in Fall 2017. Plans to revise or discontinue the majors must be submitted to the Office of the Provost by September 30, 2018.     1. Undergraduate major in History of Science, Medicine, and Technology: Currently there are 7 students enrolled in the HSTM Major. Faculty will continue to offer currently taught courses that count towards major requirements, including the capstone seminar, and plan to work closely with any enrolled students to ensure that they can complete the major.
    2. Undergraduate major in History and History of Science, Medicine, and Technology: Currently there are 4 students enrolled in the joint History/HSTM Major, 2 of whom are on track to graduate in May 2017 and the other 2 in May 2018.
